SCREEN Graphic Solutions Co., Ltd., parent company of SCREEN Americas, has finalized development of a new entry-level version of its popular Truepress Jet520NX high-speed roll-fed inkjet press. SCREEN is also developing optional functions to enable high-speed monochrome printing with Truepress Jet520NX and the new Truepress Jet520NX EN models. These systems are due to be launched sequentially across global markets, including North America, over the spring/summer 2019 timeframe.
The printing industry trend toward mixed, small lot printing — particularly with book-on-demand jobs, and variable printing for personalized catalogues, direct mail and full color invoices — has triggered a need for affordable, fully functional, four-color variable printing solutions.
SCREEN is poised to satisfy printing companies’ need for that technology with its Truepress Jet520NX EN model as an entry-level version of its highly successful Truepress Jet520NX high-speed roll-fed inkjet press. The EN model offers the same outstanding print quality and highly reliable workflow technologies as other systems in the company’s market-leading Truepress Jet520 series, which is one of the most successful such high-speed lineups in its class with over 2000 units shipped worldwide.
SCREEN has designed the Truepress Jet520NX EN press to feature the same printhead module, control technologies, transfer system and exterior as its Truepress Jet520NX system which permits the EN model to be installed on the production floors of commercial, book and direct mail operations at reduced costs while still delivering throughput of up to 75 meters per minute, helping yield exceptional cost performance.
Additionally, as more users also call for ever faster monochrome output, SCREEN is currently developing separate high-speed options for its Truepress Jet520NX and Truepress Jet520NX EN models to enable monochrome printing at a speed of 180 meters per minute at 600 x 600 dpi resolution. Installation of either of the two monochrome models can help printing companies improve the overall efficiency of both their color and monochrome work plus expand the range of applications they can accommodate with a single system.
SCREEN’s continuing mission is to develop innovative solutions that satisfy targeted market needs that in turn contribute to the growth of the entire printing industry, while expanding its own printed related business.
Reach the apex of performance with productivity, precision and personalization unheard of in inkjet.
