SCREEN Americas announced the appointment of Ken Ingram, as president of the SCREEN Graphic and Precision Solutions group’s US-based subsidiary, effective April 1, 2018. Ingram had been the Vice President Sales & Marketing at the graphics/printing equipment and technology firm for the past five years.
In naming his successor, Mr. Yoji Otsuka, SCREEN Americas’ president since 2015 and a member of SCREEN’s worldwide organization since 1986 said, “It should come as no surprise to people familiar with SCREEN Americas that Ken Ingram was appointed the company’s president. He has helped us take a leadership role in the digital production inkjet markets through his sales leadership and his vision.”
“In fact, SCREEN established a noteworthy benchmark this past year under Ken’s direction, having achieved a new record in unit sales of our Truepress Jet520 series high-speed production inkjet solutions,” Otsuka added.
SCREEN has been recognized both as a pioneer and leader in the development and application of Print-on-Demand, inkjet technology for the direct mail, transactional print, commercial printing and packaging and label market segments, having transitioned from its previously acknowledged position as the world’s leading manufacturer of computer-to-plate devices.
“Mr. Otsuka was a catalyst and driver for us in this successful transformation to POD technology,” Ingram said. “As the printing industry began recognizing the potential of on-demand production as either a complement or replacement to certain printing applications, Mr. Otsuka was a tireless advocate in SCREEN’s efforts to bring leading edge, world class production inkjet solutions and service to our markets. I want to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Otsuka, for his countless hours of work and dedication to bring SCREEN Americas to the point where we are today.”
Otsuka looks forward to building on SCREEN Americas’ Truepress Jet520 success by bringing his real-world, customer-focused experience to a new role with the SCREEN Graphic and Precision Solutions Group’s global Truepress Jet520 business from the company’s corporate headquarters in Kyoto, Japan. His liaison skills between global customer markets and SCREEN’s factories will help further grow the company’s sales opportunities worldwide in the high-speed production inkjet space.
Ingram reflected on his new position as president of SCREEN Americas by saluting the dedication of the company’s sales and support teams. “Our success over the past several years is testimony to the concentrated efforts of our regional sales managers, our technical sales specialists, our support and service group and our administrative staff. I am proud of what they have accomplished and excited to continue to lead them toward our continued success.”
In addition, Ingram highlighted the company’s growth and reconfiguration of its sales efforts into Eastern and Western Regions by also announcing the promotions of Paul Chandonnet, to the position of Vice President of Sales, Eastern Region and Dean Kenan, to the position of Vice President of Sales, Western Region. This new structure marks an expansion of SCREEN Americas’ sales and service program to meet the needs of its growing footprint in 2018, 2019 and beyond.
Both vice presidents will report to Ingram, who will lead SCREEN Americas’ sales, marketing, service and operations for all markets served including North America, Latin America and South America for the company’s High-Speed and Label and Packaging business.
